Enrollment
There are two ways to sign up for this program. The first way is to signup is by visiting the Royal Caribbean cruise lines website at www.royalcaribbean.com/crownandanchor and sign up here. You’ll need to give basic information, such as your name and address. As soon as you book your next Royal Caribbean cruise, you’ll start earning membership privileges. You can also sign up on the ship at the guest relations desk. When the ship returns the enrollment form will be mailed to the main office in Miami. You’ll receive the packet in the mail shortly thereafter. You can have prior cruises applied to the account by calling in with the old reservation numbers.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Line Member Benefits
As a member of the Royal Caribbean cruise line Crown and Anchor club, you’ll get exclusive member only benefits. You can get extra benefits for children in your family, cruise points that can be used to upgrade your cabins, savings certificates, discounts on balcony and suite rooms, as well as extra amenities on the ship such as priority check in and robes for onboard use.
Member Levels
The more cruises you take, the more points you accumulate. For each night you spend on the ship you get 1 point. If you book an upgraded room, you’ll get double points. The points are then used to place you in a tier for the program. There are 6 tiers; Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle. The level you are at determines what kind of benefits you can take advantage of on the Royal Caribbean Cruise line. For instance, Gold members will get coupon books to use on the cruise, access to quality savings certificates for future cruises, access to special member only cruises, and more. You only need 3 points to achieve the Gold status. The Platinum level is available after 30 points, and will give you all the benefits of the Gold, as well as priority check in service, robes to use onboard, and discounts on balcony and suite staterooms. For those who have spent at least 55 nights onboard with Royal Caribbean will enjoy Emerald status. This includes special offers on new ships or itineraries, and welcome baskets. At 80 points you are upgraded to the RCCL Cruise Lines Diamond club. You will enjoy a nightly event just for those at a diamond level or higher, priority departure, priority for shore excursions as well as appointments for the onboard spa. Diamond Plus members have spent 175 nights at sea with the Royal Caribbean Cruise line, and will enjoy daily breakfast service with coffee, access to the concierge lounge, and personalized gifts in their stateroom. The top level attainable is the Pinnacle club. Those in this category have cruised over 700 nights with the Royal cruise line. Pinnacle members enjoy a private departure lounge, access to top tier events, and bigger discounts on their quarterly savings certificates.
Climbing Up
While 700 nights at sea may sound like a ton, it can be achieved pretty easily. If you take advantage of Royal Caribbean cruise deals you don’t have to spend a ton of money on your cruises. If you do this just once a year for a 10 night cruise, you can climb up to Emerald status in just a few years.
